With the update to sme 7.1.1 there are changes to the /server-manager

Unfortunately smeserver-userpanel-0.9-9 ( aka /user-manager ) had to be updated as it conflicted with the new methods.

smeserver-userpanel-0.9-10 is the new version, for 7.1.1
available here, or from the dungog repository if enabled
http://sme.dungog.net/packages/smeserver/7.0/i386/html/index_dungog.html

After upgrading to 7.1.1 you will need to reinstall smeserver-userpanel-0.9-10 as 0.9-9 is automatically removed.

However because of dependency errors you may need to upgrade additional rpms manually before the upgrade can proceed

if installed upgrade to these versions, same location as above
smeserver-userpanels-1.0-5
smeserver-mailsorting-1.2-4

[edit, upgrade the two rpms not remove]

Yes. I need to remove smeserver-userpanel and panels manually, because I can't update to 7.1.1 for dependency errors.

Thanks

Can I first upgrade smeserver-userpanel to the new version, and after do the upgrade to SME 7.1.1?

no
because bad things happened when 0.9-9 was installed we obsoleted
smeserver-userpanel in smeserver-support

but this is where the problem is,
it can't be obsoleted while it has existing dependencies

sorry

but now you can upgrade these rpms to the latest versions
and they won't block the upgrade,
i removed the requires

smeserver-userpanels-1.0-5
smeserver-mailsorting-1.2-4

Ok, thanks.

So the upgrade procedure is now:

1. upgrade smeserver-userpanels to version 1.0-5
2. upgrade smeserver-mailsorting to version 1.2-4
3. upgrade SME to 7.1.1
4. reinstall smeserver-userpanel, using the latest version (0.9-10), as it was removed during the upgrade to 7.1.1.

So the upgrade procedure is now:

1. upgrade smeserver-userpanels to version 1.0-5
2. upgrade smeserver-mailsorting to version 1.2-4
3. upgrade SME to 7.1.1
4. reinstall smeserver-userpanel, using the latest version (0.9-10), as it was removed during the upgrade to 7.1.1.

So, as long as you have the dungog repository setup...
Code: [Select]
yum update \
--disablerepo=* \
--enablerepo=dungog \
--enablerepo=base \
--enablerepo=smeos \
--enablerepo=smeupdates \
--enablerepo=smeaddons

Then..
Code: [Select]
yum update \
--disablerepo=* \
--enablerepo=dungog \
--enablerepo=updates \
--enablerepo=base \
--enablerepo=smeos \
--enablerepo=smeupdates \
--enablerepo=smeaddons

And finally..
Code: [Select]
yum install smeserver-userpanel \
--disablerepo=* \
--enablerepo=dungog \
--enablerepo=updates \
--enablerepo=base \
--enablerepo=smeos \
--enablerepo=smeupdates \
--enablerepo=smeaddons

Not forgetting to do
Code: [Select]
signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
between each step.
Regards,
William

How do we do this? Is there a easy to perform this? Should we do anything until this is fixed?

Just asking

This only applies if you have added contribs
If you have you should have the skills to upgrade or remove them

If a user logins to user-manager, there's no Logout button. If the same user tries to login to server-manager then there's a problem.
Should I open a bug or a feature request?

Just close and reopen the browser.
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!
