Dears,
HI M_aboush,
I am looking for add on or easy way to my mail server which runs under SME 8 that enable me to get statistics in details about:
first I must give you a warning, before starting to work on this you should migrate to SME9. SME8 is end of life ( meaning no more updates, including security ones) at the end of March 2017.
1- All incoming and out going mail for all users.
So basically you want information about :
incoming : qpsmtpd/ sqpsmtpd
outgoing: qmail
you have a few contribs that does a different things :
- https://wiki.koozali.org/Mailstats will give some information about incomming email daily
- https://wiki.koozali.org/Sme9admin is now enhanced to give chart of incoming and outgoing email with reason of failure for incoming, and only failure, deferral and success for outgoing
- https://wiki.koozali.org/Isoqlog will give you daily, monthly, yearly stats about top recipients and from by domain
- few scripts also worth trying to read the following to find some : https://wiki.contribs.org/Email
2- Number of failed message to send.
- you can get this with sme9admin as written just before. (need to upgrade to SME9)
3- Failure reason.
you get them with mailstats and sme9admin for incoming.
For outgoing you need to do your own script, and this will be some work as there are plenty of error code depending of providers.

Thanks a Lot for you.

What is the safest way to migrate SME9 with 8

What is the safest way to migrate SME9 with 8
Please check the wiki:
https://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:9.1
Backup, install, restore.
You cannot 'upgrade' (this is due to Redhat, not Koozali SME)
There are other ways e.g. affa, using extra harddisks etc. Please check the wiki for details. However, the above is the simplest.
Rgds
