Why?

Hi Stef,
Good Day!

As the recent upgrade of chrome https already warns of not secure on the some sites including our webmail. And management after all my explanations that it ok the still has hesitations. I thought of buying ssl but it would not practical at all to use it for our webmail. So to make management calm i just thought to use http instead.

Rocel

If your domain is a valid one and you have port 80 open to wan, letsencrypt is the way
See the wiki, use John Crisp's contrib

Http is backpedalling. Don't do it.

As it is easy to generate letsencrypt certs there is no reason not to use them with https.

smeserver-letsencrypt is in the testing repo but lots of us use it.

Follow the instruction here (but use sme-test not reetp repo)

Hi John,

When you say  use smetest repo did you mean i use this command?

yum install smeserver-letsencrypt --enablerepo=smetest

I did this but did not find the contribs on the smetest repo.

Try the smedev repo
/releases/9/smedev/x86_64/RPMS/smeserver-letsencrypt-0.4-1.noarch.rpm
