I have had a problem getting appletalk network printers to work with e-smith. The printer queues set up fine, the spooler shows up on the mac as a print spool, and when I send a print job to the spooler I can see disk activity on the e-smith. Unfortunately, the print job just sits on the e-smith. Even when I have the ip and the appletalk printer name, it just sits there. Another problem with the current e-smith setup is that many appletalk printer names have spaces and uppercase letters as the first letter (Agfa Avantra II, DuoProof, Unity 1200XL, etc.) There is no provision in the e-smith set for these names. Many times there is no ip number, also.
Any input on this is most appreciated. Thanks!
