I'm running e-smith V4.
I have a xerox laser printer connected to my e-smith box and am printing to it from a win NT 4 box.
Works ok for small documents ( 3-4 pages ) but larger documents seem to start printing ok then just a lerge number of blank pages until we reset the printer.
Sometimes when we start to print we get a page with what appears to be the PCL raw data on it before the actual document.
It appears as though the print data is being corrupted somehow.
The printer and cable work ok when connected to a win 98 box ( and win 95 before that ).
Also noted that /var/log/messages was reporting that the printer port was in 'polled' mode. Altered /etc/conf.modules to specify irq & dma for printer port. This doesn't seem to have changed anything as far as the failures go.
My current thoughts are to suspect the printer port but I'm not 100% sure about this.
