Hello everyone,

To well start this new year, I've just finish a contribs to manage cache from squid.

you can find it here:
http://vanhees.homeip.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewsdownload

With this contribs you can change size and type of cache.
Maximum size for object to be cached.
Life time of the cache.

Happy new year to the new SME ;-)

MasterSleepy.

Hi,
I've installed smeserver-squid_cache_mgt-1.0-2 on smeserver 7.1.3

# rpm -qa smeserver-squid_cache_mgt
smeserver-squid_cache_mgt-1.0-2

# rpm -qa squid
squid-2.5.STABLE6-3.4E.12

the Squid cache manager panel works, it shown at server-manager under section Configuration. I change some Squid cache settings and it seems works ok.

However the cron daemon reporting error to my email.

in my admin mailbox :
Subject : Cron <root@smeserver> squid -k rotate

2007/05/03 04:22:01| parseConfigFile: line 40 unrecognized: 'reference_age 1 year '

I think because the reference_age directive is obsolete for squid 2.5 and up ?

Then maybe you can update your rpm, either you must find the alternative directive or discard it.
