Raid HDD limit?
« on: April 27, 2003, 08:43:14 AM »
Hi All,
I have installed SME 5.6u4 in software raid setup using 2 x maxtor 60 Gig HDD's and I have installed Darrell May's diskusage contrib, when I run it I get this result:

Disk Utilization Report

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current Filesystem Usage

Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/md1               28G  557M   25G   3% /
/dev/md0              100M  8.6M   86M  10% /boot
none                   62M     0   61M   0% /dev/shm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current Ibay Disk Usage

Ibay Usage
primary 32k
rpms 19M
updates 9.2M

As you can see it says that I have a 28 Gig HDD NOT 60 Gig!
I have I done something wrong here, I have searched the forum and it appears that there is no limit on HDD size (or at least 60 gig is not too big). Could there be a limit on the size for raid? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advanced,
Del

Another search with different keywords found someone with a simular problem in the experienced forum, as a relative newbie I felt priviledged to be directed there!
Any how there is a FAQ on this problem and it seems that I will have to reinstall SME 5.6 ( third time lucky I hope).
Regards,
