Topic: two servers in midnight commander

Hello,

I know its possible but do not know how to set it up.
With SSL I can reach my (old and new) server separately.
I would like to pump the user info from the old to the 'new' server.
I have seen MC connect to separate machines right and left side but do not remember how.

Hugo,

Try using the FTP option with your user or admin username and password.  This will give you access to ibays and user home folders (permissions do apply), so you could copy all the files you want to move on the server to your home directory then transfer to the other SME using FTP inside of MC.

Under FTP Link, enter your username@yourserver.com....you will then be prompted for your password.  If you use the admin account you will have full access (full control) to all user folders and ibays.  WARNING, I think the password will travel clear text, so if your a secure environment, I would consider not doing this.
