Topic: Single user unable to login into Webmail

I post with nervousness that I have not done enough homework, but, here goes:
I have restored my SME9 to a temporary SME10 on Proxmox. All is good, but I have one user that can no longer login into webmail and the email client (thunderbird) can't login to download emails. 3 other users work fine.
With webmail login, I have a response of bad password.
I have not changed passwords. I have made sure the ownership of each user matches the user:group for the user.
Is there a way to reset or change the horde user password? I have read everything that I can find but this subject isn't mentioned that I can see.

And how did you do that? Some precise details will help. How and when did you install SME, what mode is it in, was it an upgrade from say Beta or a fresh install, any updates etc etc.

Is there a way to reset or change the horde user password?
This is their general password - it is not a 'different' one for Horde - so a normal user password reset would normally do it. However, we need to try and work out why this has happened and make sure their is nothing more sinister there.

So can you also show us the output from:

can he send using thunderbird?

can he log in for the user-panel if installed.


is user using login or full email as login ?

checked he is not using an alias to login in placr of his real login name ?

My apologies. I did change the user password in Server-Manager and is working again.
I thought that there would be a Horde password.
Red face. I had spent my time looking at horde things!

still a potential bug solved by changing the password.  but will be hard to reproduce and investigate.
