Please help with translation for SME 10.0
« on: April 08, 2021, 03:53:56 AM »
We are in the very last lap to SME 10.0.

Wouldn't it be great to have all the translation up to date ?

Please take few minutes of your time reviewing the strings on pootle : https://translate.contribs.org/projects/sme10/

Just for your information the system does not store my translations or corrections.

When I browse the list everything is as it was.

Very dis-encouraging ;-)

This may change if I try to login as I just started right away after click on the link.

But might be good to warn people about this?

Absolutely. The system would be open to rampant abuse otherwise.
...
1. Read the Manual
2. Read the Wiki
3. Don't ask for support on Unsupported versions of software
4. I have a job, wife, and kids and do this in my spare time. If you want something fixed, please help.

Bugs are easier than you think: http://wiki.contribs.org/Bugzilla_Help

For sure - but stupid that the system allow you to key in values and move forward without a warning ;-)

pootle will need some TLC after SME 10 to get to the last version.

as long as you are logged in which simple need to register for that it will store as suggestion and then one will need to approve.

if you need to be preapproved for a language please ask here with your login name.
Hint: if i have to approve a translation in Hungarian, i will not have any more proficiency than the one who actually submit it.

just saw why you believe submitting something. because there is a text box to fill. but there is no submit button. only next previous for navigation.
still i give you that it is not the best user experience

Just to announce that final draft of Bulgarian translation is finished. Need some time for quality checks. Unfortunately for some of contribs I'm not familiar (even did not tried them).

Call for all Bulgarian speaking users for some help.

Proud to complete that task almost solitary.  :)

Want / like to help, but have some issues registering!!

(IMHO, SME seems to lack 1 user-login for Bugs,Forum,Translate - and why after loggin into Forum, you have to verify )

opencare.nl - long time user of SME/Koozali - since E-Smith (remember? :)).

In the forum
- verification image is alomost illegible
- the domainname is requested (which is contribs.org, not Koozali.org....)
This is really super annoying..

the domain name requested is the on in the infographic.
currently we still allow user to reach the forum with both domaine but this will change soon.

I just checked and this is koozali the answer, maybe someone updated in in between.

happy you managed to join

We use common login for wiki and forum. Pootle and bugzilla needs separate registration.

I think I have finished the (few) lines that were missing from the Italian translation of SME and contribs
