Basic check to see if AFFA RISE works.

AFFA sync of SME9 server with RPMCheck=yes fails; Error (1306): writing list of installed RPMs failed.

AFFA sync of SME9 server with RPMCheck=no successful, sync SME9 server to SME10; SME9 used as email server only, 3 users.

RISE and Reboot, reconfigure and check.
SSH login ok, server-manager login ok, check users, groups and ibays are correct.
UID's + GID's are muddled, user home folder owner and permissions muddled.
SME10 has additional uid+gid files in /etc; subuid, subgid.
Manually copy SME9 uid+gid files to SME10 and manually correct permissions.

UNDO RISE;
Reverts to original files and permissions.
httpd-e-smith fails to start with certificate error.

Thanks for testing!

Rpmcheck will probably fail cos el6 v el7.
Be a wiki note.

That will be a won't fix though you can comment on the bug for reference.

https://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11024

Can you list the specific uid+gid files for me so I can look?

If they are in place BEFORE you rise does it fix the folder owner etc?

Can you please show me what you mean?

Undo Rise. Again reverting back to v9 will be a won't fix methinks. Be a wiki note.

I only ran once, would need to run again to ensure consistent issue.
The uid + gid files I copied back were; group shadow passwd gshadow + group- shadow- passwd- gshadow-
Reading these files showed accounts and groups from the SME10 before the RISE, the SME10 was not a new/clean vm.
I will to try again with a clean SME10 and take note before and after the RISE.

/etc/group-
/etc/shadow-
/etc/passwd-
/etc/gshadow-

You can chat to me on Rocket if you are testing.

Ahhhh - I just fell into something as well regarding how we build RPMs that I need to better understand that might help some of this.

I need to have a chat with JP when he is back as this is above my paygrade :-)
