SME 10 & lazy_admin_tools
« on: March 22, 2021, 02:34:37 PM »
Bonjour,

Code: [Select]
# yum install --downloadonly --downloaddir=Packages_smeserver-lazy_admin_tools --enablerepo=smecontribs smeserver-lazy_admin_tools
Modules complémentaires chargés : fastestmirror, post-transaction-actions, priorities, smeserver
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * base: centos-mirror.usessionbuddy.com
 * smeaddons: ftp.nluug.nl
 * smecontribs: ftp.nluug.nl
 * smeextras: ftp.nluug.nl
 * smeos: ftp.nluug.nl
 * smeupdates: ftp.nluug.nl
 * updates: fr2.rpmfind.net
427 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Aucun paquet smeserver-lazy_admin_tools disponible.

Because we aren't properly releasing contribs yet.

A lot have been migrated and will be in one of the test repos.

We will start releasing them fairly soon but we need to make sure the core is stable with no major issues first. Once we are happy with that we'll look at contribs.

There are notes elsewhere in the forums on how to TEST install some of the contribs.

Please be careful though. They are not necessarily 'production ready'.

Check the bugs carefully.

OK.
Yes, I wanted to test.
Can I install "smeserver-lazy_admin_tools-1.1-4.el6.sme.noarch.rpm" on SME10b1 ?

Seeing as it is el6 I wouldn't. You have el7..... There are masses of changes and you risk borking your box, especially with a tool as dangerous as this.

Please read other messages here on how to install test packages, but I'm not sure if this has been migrated yet. Check bugzilla.

A good time to learn then. We all had too....!

Or you have to be patient.

You could help yourself a lot by reading and searching.

To be successful in testing correctly I will have to bore you a lot of times. It is not possible...

Thanks for the link.

Bonsoir,

:lol:

Try me....... I call your bluff.

But you have to do some reading first so you understand your issue. Only then can you learn how to do something about it.

Or talk with gieres.

He has become a top tester and has done a huge amount of work to help us. It has been a pleasure to work with him.

He volunteered, was given some guidance, read a lot, tried a lot, and learned a lot.

And then he could help us, and himself.

Like all open source you will get out what you put in.

We only know what we know because we wanted to learn, and give back. We were not born like it.

You have to make a choice. You can sit and wait and wonder why people don't help much, or get involved and find you get a lot back.

People do not help much because they do not have the capacity to understand the problems. Neither the time and do not want to take the time elsewhere. It's easier to like on facebook.
For my part, I don't have time to sit down and do nothing unfortunately. Volunteering I practice (too) often, I don't have a choice and so I don't have time for anything else.
In short, my life is not the subject here. But you have to understand that we do not all work in IT. Computing is a tool, but it should not become a burden and it is increasingly the case. Apple including!

What makes you think we have all day with nothing to do??

Our lead developer had a second child in January....

See No. 4 in my sig.

We ALL have busy lives. We could all say we are too busy and do nothing. Then what???
