Grafana sur SME 9.2.0...
« on: April 15, 2020, 05:52:42 AM »
Bonjour,

For reference, depending on your server mode and level of access required you can look at these.

If your firewall blocks access.

Add a dummy 'service' and add TCPPorts so they are open on the firewall (it probably only needs TCP, not UDP)

Something like this will open a port in your firewall through to the grafana service

Code: [Select]
config set grafana service status enabled access public TCPPort 3000
Code: [Select]
signal-event remoteaccess-update
Setting it 'private' should enable local access only.

You might also be able to add a Port Forwarding rule to 127.0.0.1:3000? Not tried that.

Or run a reverse proxy to 127.0.0.1:3000

NOTE:

http,https,h2 or socket

Note: Grafana versions earlier than 3.0 are vulnerable to POODLE. So we strongly recommend to upgrade to 3.x or use a reverse proxy for ssl termination.

Thanks, but reverse-proxy is very obscure to me.

I chose SME because it is a system made very simple by all these enthusiasts. I am not a computer engineer. I am a simple user who uses a tool and the best I can. I don't think of myself as a moron who doesn't know what he's doing. Before implementing I spend a lot of time, provided the result is serious and final.
I am not the type to remain open mouth in front of the television, I set up an SME server and various things among others thanks to you and those who help others but decipher information encapsulated in others and succeed in understand in English, only it takes a long time. Especially when you spend hours trying to solve a problem without having the solution.
:)
Some tutorials are not as precise as this, which greatly complicates understanding.
They are even sometimes overwhelmed and it is then complicated to recreate the exercise.
To understand it is not easy.
(Sorry for my poor english, I'm french ;) )
Thank you again for your help.

It was designed to be simple to manage and it does all the basics very well.

But you want to do something beyond 'standard'. And that means that like it or not, you have GOT to educate yourself.

You have GOT to become more of a computer engineer. Believe me, 20+ years ago I wasn't (I'm still not really now!!!). I did what I am trying to encourage you and others to do:

Sit down, read and read and read and learn.

This is the best advice anyone ever gave me:

http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

All the basics are out there. There are reams of information online (I didn't have the internet when I started!)

Understand the basics, and then ask how to implement it in SME - after you have also read the wiki.

You will get a lot more help and sympathy that way ;-)

English - you have the benefit of Google translate. It just isn't so hard as it was 20 years ago......

Your English is fine.

I would agree that there could be a better page on proxying in SME.

Start a WIii page and we can work on it..... no Wiki access ? Ask me....

If you want to chat SME ask for a login to our Rocket.Chat - there are several people there and some speak French too....

We need people to help - we need people who will write documentation and test so please come and join in. You will learn a lot that way.....
