Download all the rpms to a USB and manually install them.

Except then:

a) you have bypassed the firewall which defeats the purpose - they may as well give you access

b) you can't update easily so you get to keep all your bugs

This is ugly.

You should use a minimum of PHP 7.1 as anything earlier (apart from the installed RHEL supported 5.3.x) is now EOL.

1. Read the Manual
2. Read the Wiki
3. Don't ask for support on Unsupported versions of software
4. I have a job, wife, and kids and do this in my spare time. If you want something fixed, please help.

+1 if they allow centos update which are on multiple mirror, they could also pinpoint for sme updates, or you might leave security issues uncorrected and do the same for remi repo who is one major contributor if the the fedora and epel projects.

Thank you for your answers

As it is for a little department in my company and testing, i will download rpms frequently.

Otherwise, is there a date for 10 sme-server release ?

Cheers

Frederic

Best thing is first ask, you might be surprise, and if they say no you still have the option to mirror from home and male a local mirror on the sme itself.

For sme 10 it depends on how many people will help !

Yum can be configured to use a proxy server -- maybe they'd be OK letting you do updates if your traffic is proxied. There are some notes in the wiki: https://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ:Section01#Yum_.28system_updates.29

Here are some really old notes on running yum updates "offline" (I think the intended scenario at the time was updating SME servers connected over dialup or metered connections).  I don't know if this procedure (written up in 2007) will still work, or if you feel like setting up a clone of your SME server outside the network where you can download updates...

You could put the SME in server/gateway mode, then tether the WAN interface to your cell phone...
