Horde52 permissions
« on: November 21, 2018, 11:57:08 AM »
Hi,

can anybody tell what the correct directory permissions are for Horde52?
I guess I messed it up when I changed them in order to make conf.php writable.

Which directory?

The RPMs install files all over the place. You need to be a bit more specific.

Sorry! I meant the directory /home/httpd/html/horde and the subdirectories with the config files.

You are confusing things here by having two separate threads around the same basic issue.

I changed the horde52 configuration in the web manager, like I activated ActiveSync.
Now I wonder if those changes are taken over into the e-smith template. Or will they be overwritten by the next update?

Yes it will be.

The configuration is templated and the conf template is located here:

/etc/e-smith/templates/home/httpd/html/horde/config/conf.php

If you had read the file you would see this:

head /home/httpd/html/horde/config/conf.php
Quote
<?php
/*
#------------------------------------------------------------
#          !!DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE!!
#
# Manual changes will be lost when this file is regenerated.

That file gets expanded by console-save which should also sort out your permissions.

Code: [Select]
config setprop horde ActiveSync enabled
Code: [Select]
signal-even console-save
I've added some config settings to the wiki page here:

https://wiki.contribs.org/index.php?title=Horde5

Lessons to be learned - check the config files and if it says Do Not Modify then there is a good reason for this.

You either have to modify your config via db settings, or hack about with your own custom-template.

One more question: How can I change the column width in Webmail?

One more question: How can I change the column width in Webmail?

Probably not easily.

It seems to be controlled by screen.css but beyond that.....

Probably ought to ask in the Horde forums. They'll be the experts on it.

How can I activate Gollem? Bookmarks were available immediately after installation, but Gollem was not. Are there template commands for the Gollem configuration as well?

No idea. I'm not sure if it was packaged.

You are also starting to move from an updated webmail system to something far more complicated.

You can probably try installing from git but remember SME is no normal server with where files are stored, templates etc. YMMV..... you are also going to be in a minority of one if you get stuck.

By all means try. If you make it work then document it.

Before you start make sure you have good backups......
