OK to run software update for SME 10alpha3?
« on: October 13, 2018, 10:54:28 PM »
I created a new VM and installed SME 10alpha3. There are many updates available in the Software Update panel. Is it OK to run the update?

Thanks.  :-)

Follow up: while the Software Update feature appeared to work, the update reported a great many missing dependencies, and it did not complete as expected.

I read through https://wiki.contribs.org/SME10_Roadmap#Difficulties_encountered_during_update_from_previous_versions. Following the instructions there seems to allow the updates to proceed.

It is an Alpha, that sort of stuff is to be expected :-)

A heads up, hopefully a new Alpha4 is just around the corner..
