Adding Text to Incomming Email Messages
« on: September 11, 2018, 07:44:46 PM »
This is not a limitation of or a bug in Koozali. I'm merely asking if anyone knows how to do this.

Does anyone have a way to add a warning to an email? I am constantly finding my users blindly clicking bad links or opening files promising wealth. What I'd like to do is add a line similar to this when an email comes from outside of our domain.

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. DO NOT click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. NEVER provide your User ID or password.

I've read the disclaimer info here https://wiki.contribs.org/Email#How_do_I_enable_and_configure_a_disclaimer_in_email_messages and the bug here https://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2648 and it seems doable but with possible side effects. If someone has a solution for this minor problem, please let me know. If I'm asking for something that is not possible, ok. I wanted to ask here before I do a feature request in bugzilla.

I don't know an answer specifically but you can search for clues in the spamassassin qpsmtpd plugin which can rewrite headers.

You may also find info in the disclaimer code as well. That adds it to outgoing but there is no reason it couldn't be modified for incoming. Just needs some hacking :-)

1. Read the Manual
2. Read the Wiki
3. Don't ask for support on Unsupported versions

Ok. Thank you for the reply. I'll dig around in the code some.
