Sorry, I saw the last more recently dated post of 2019 & replied, overlooking the original was in 2018.

Anyway my answer/info is useful for others.

You need to add the Windows Feature 'SMB 1.0/CIFS,' but you also need a netbios service that gathers all the names and presents them to the network.
A 'browse master' can do this, I think. Or, if it's a small lan, a simple way is to enable the WINS service in Samba, or add it to Windows Server if you have that. WINS can produce a lot of traffic, so not good to use on large networks.

Registry tweaks + Enable SMB 1.0 and Windows 10 until 1903 release can join to domain without problem.
