General - Domain trust relationship issues
« on: February 14, 2018, 01:52:51 AM »
Hi again Community,

I would like to spark up around an issue we see around domain trust relationship. Even in the windows world, it is more than normal for a computer to lose domain trust relationships once in a while but we are seeing more regular issues in recent times that could be directly related to windows 10 but I'm no windows domain genius.

Was wondering if anyone else has come across this increase and if anyone has a possible solution that can be developed on?

Thanks
Lewis - TW

are you referring to W10 clients joined to SME?

if so, be aware that SME act as a NT style DC, which is quite "old" and M$ seems not to be interested in maintaining support for it

Yes, Sorry if I did not make myself clear on that part.

We current are joining the Windows 10 computers to the SME DC but yes we are noticing issues and lacking features like GPO support etc.

Apart from NOT joining these computers to the domain, I am wondering what other people are doing to work around this. (using another DC service?)

every time you update your M$ client there can be an update that breaks something

there's no workaround but the continuous try and error approach
