Thunderbird Download Ticket Service
« on: October 19, 2018, 01:03:39 AM »
Please be aware that among other extensions the latest 0.60.x release of Thunderbird breaks the DL ticket plugin. I'll note it on the wiki tomorrow.

See here for more details:

https://www.mail-archive.com/dl-ticket-service@thregr.org/msg00459.html

A tale of bad planning and execution.

In my experience that just about sums it up for me.

Quite frankly if I could find a desktop client anywhere near as good I'd have dumped it years ago due to the attrocious attitude of the devs. Any comment beyond fanboy love is silenced, censored or blocked (I have been a few times!). Or worse told that you will love feature x in the future because they do....

Before you suggest it....  I hate webmail :-)

Ah well. Just have to stay on the old version a while longer.

And then they quickly try and pull the old version as it had 'vulnerabilities' (usually due to their ill conceived idea to incorporate a eeb browser tab thing in it which is a disaster) meaning you can't downgrade.

Except the new one is a bug ridden pile of pooh too......

Ha... and just to confirm that my post on their list got blocked as well...

Quote
"Posting of your message titled "Re: Thunderbird 60.2.1 Released"

has been rejected by the list moderator.  The moderator gave the
following reason for rejecting your request:

"This thread is turning into a "list your issues with Thunderbird 60"
thread.  If you're having an issue with the new version, it would be
best to start a new thread."

Tossers.....
