Topic: No email since this morning's update

Since I ran the most recent security update on my office server it has stopped receiving email.  MXToolbox tells me that there is no response to an smtp test. Another SME server on the same network is still working fine both sending and receiving email.

I cannot see anything in the logs but I'm not sure what to look for.

Any help welcome.

This could be the smeserver-wbl contrib issue. You may need to upgrade the cotrib

Having read the various bug reports and re-examined the logs I'm sure your right.

I tried the update and got :

Am I doing something wrong?

The Contribs docs do not show how to remove this contrib which I'm happy to do if it will quickly fix the problem.  Probably a silly question but how?

# yum remove smeserver-wbl

Should do the trick, I would also note the issue you are experiencing with the centos mirrors, may resolve itself over a short period of time (hours)

Not sure what the exact issue is, but looks like you have a connectivity issue (or at least a DNS problem)

For sme 9.1
yum update smeserver-wbl --enablerepo=smetest

Wbl has been pushed to smecontribs on the sane day as the release of dme 9.2. So this is

yum update smeserver-wbl --enablerepo=smecontribs

As pointed Daniel, the problem encontered here is s dns resolution issue.

Maybe doing this could workaround if this is only related to one site

yum update smeserver-wbl --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=smecontribs

Just to add to this.

I had a similar issue and discovered that my default gateway (server only) does not register although it is shown in "Server manager - Review Config"

Even after logging in as admin via console and "Configure this Server", specifying the gateway again, did it still not add the default gateway to the routing.

In the end I had to manually run: route add default gateway "IPaddress" to get connectivity going again...

Any suggestions on making this "fix" permanent

Hi all,

I had the same problem 2 days ago when I updated a virtual 9.1 to 9.2.

I was able to ping the IP of my main server but not google.com. The local and external NIC had their IP, /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/hosts were ok.

Everything was fine after a reboot.

Helped me as well - had the same problem on one server (server only, not a gateway) - manually adding the route worked, even though editing /etc/resolv.conf to point to the gateway didn't help even in the short term.

The fix has been pushed on the mirrors, you should be able to get it with yum update
