[SOLVED] Password issue in Chrome and Outlook client with domain enabled

Hello,

I got an issue on a few sme servers.
Let me tell you about th conf :
SME server 9.x as DC
Windows 10 pro domain registered, the registry patch is applied
Chrome browser up to date
Outlook 2016 connecting to hosted exchange server.

Issue with chrome :
password are never stored, users have to type them every day

Issue with Outlook :
Quite difficult to configure the account (autodiscover)
When Outlook is finally connected to server, it crashes when the .ost is about 16Mo

I guess it comes from a right issue on user's directory, but I can't find solution.

Could I expect help from you?
Thanks,

B Fontaine

hi, welcome here

so, IIUC, you've a SME9 acting as DC and (just guessing) roaming profiles?

can you give us as much details as you can about your network topology and setup?

thank you

Hi,

Never, ever used roaming profiles... In my opinion, it's a bad thing

The networks topologies are quiet simple : only one LAN, RFC1918 compliant, SME as primary DNS, DHCP provided by pfSense
I had no problem with windows 7 pro, it appeared after win 10 upgrade.

I read about registry issue : https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/dPMyABwLV0g
When I use a local user, everything's fine.

So did you apply that registry patch, & what is the outcome, did it fix your original problem ?

Hello,

Sorry for blackout...
I actually tried the registry edit, and it solves the problem, Outlook and Chrome.
I hope it's Windows Update proof.
Sorry for time loss, many thanks!
