Letsencrypt/Dehydrated update
« on: January 01, 2017, 04:19:19 PM »
FYI there is a new hook for failure response.

https://github.com/lukas2511/dehydrated/pull/326

I have not incorporated this patch yet but will do when back at work (there are a few other minor fixes since my last release, but nothing serious that I can see)

Any suggestions for implementation ? e.g. mailing the admin if there is an issue ?

Open to comments/suggestions if you want me to try and code something

And again, THE contrib in contribs repo is NOT documented anywhere. So basically it's useless for nobody knows how to use it.

Despite the lack of any  documentation or guidance it is still being added to the official contrib repo....

Why would you? It seems that releasing contribs to the offcial repo is in the wild and without any Q&A.

You are taking my comment out of context. I was referring to a later version of the script than the one that Dan and I currently use that has some additional functionality. I was merely wondering if anyone had any comments regarding the newer version of the script.

My stuff is in my own repo. This is an RPM for JUST the script, nothing else. If you installed it absolutely nothing would happen. Both Dan and I have basically identical versions. We are just putting it one place for later use. Which makes more sense than separate repos.

My contrib is a separate entity that has a 'depends' on the script. Daniels own contrib is the same. The idea is that for Koozali SME v9 you would use a contrib to generate certificates, but in v10 it will be built into the system itself.

It will all need testing, in the fullness of time

Docs will get done as well, but I have a trip to the UK to do this week and haven't got the time. In any event the docs for the basic script are at the dehydrated repo here if anyone wants to see:
