Degraded raid event
« on: October 29, 2016, 05:34:16 PM »
I've installed SME 9.1 on an HP Proliant Microsever (gen7, I think - its an AMD Turion powered box). Install was selected as No LVM, No Raid. Install was fine and the machine is running well. However, I'm getting a string of DegradedArray event on /dev/md0 <severname><domain-name> emails. Not too much of a surprise, since the /dev/md0 is a single partition on a single drive.

All the SME 9.xx installs I've done have had a /boot partition configured as RAID, but the HP Microsever is the only one to generate these messages. I've got another HP Microsever which I had problems updating to SME 9.1. When I first did the upgrade it was doing the same thing - degraded raid event messages at fairly frequent intervals.

Any idea of why this type of machine has the problem when none of the other mahcines I've got running SME 9.xx have had? And any idea how to stop the error messages? :) I'd like to stop them, since I'm about to deploy another SME 9.1 on the first micorserver....

Paul.
