Thank you everyone for your help. Since my SME server is not able to be seen from the outside I don't think the issue has to do with epls.ca issue. On the other hand I had a power outage last night and like some kind of miracle I have access to my backup page again.

I had restarted the server many times so I am not exactly sure why the power outage fixed it but it did and this is solved for now

While I am here I figure I could always ask. While I do a backup to desktop will my server be down? Or will it just be a bit slower?
