I have a bridged open with SME where i use centos to connect to it; for some reason when i use yum or wget it works perfect however when i use more complex installers (i.e. cpanel) it fails to start. Even when I try to get my public ip, it can not receive it.
I found a method to solve this by editing /etc/resolv.conf and using the google ip 8.8.8.8; now this does not pass through vpn and furthermore the cpanel ip is my public ip. Not to mention that I can not access the cpanel web-interface after I port forwarded the port from both my router's side and the SME server side; Also tried adding a host name inside SME manager which leads my web server (i.e. web.example.example) to the MAC address which leads to the public router.
I also enabled "access:" to public within the SME server openvpn bridge
Would anyone know how i could by pass all of these?
