Does anybody have any experience with Seafile?

Would it be worthwhile to try to get it runnig on SME Server 9.x?

Looks interesting.  I like the client-side encryption support.  Not a fan of the "community" Free vs. "Enterprise" paid idea, but that's not unique to them.  Might be worth playing around with a bit...

You benefit from it every day. SME server wouldn't be what it is without e-smith/Mitel funding its development that way.

I guess you're talking about the past :-)

I worked out how to install seafile on SME 8 a couple years ago:
https://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=50809.0

It should be simpler on SME 9, as you don't need to do any of the Python customizations (SME 8 comes w/ Python 2.4.x; SME 9 comes with Python 2.6.6, which meets the requirements according to the Seafile FAQ)

I never tested it in operation, however.
