Hello

Try to install AWStats from contribs wiki page but get missing dependacy

yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-awstats

Excuse for the text, server is build with my mother language.

Résolution des dépendances
--> Lancement de la transaction de test
---> Package smeserver-awstats.noarch 0:1.3-3.el6.sme will be installé
--> Traitement de la dépendance : awstats >= 6.5 pour le paquet : smeserver-awstats-1.3-3.el6.sme.noarch
--> Lancement de la transaction de test
---> Package awstats.noarch 0:7.1-1.el6.rf will be installé
--> Traitement de la dépendance : perl(Geo::IP) pour le paquet : awstats-7.1-1.el6.rf.noarch
--> Résolution des dépendances terminée
Erreur : Paquet : awstats-7.1-1.el6.rf.noarch (smecontribs)
             Requiert : perl(Geo::IP)


If put dag repo enable, the missing dependancy don't show up and you could install AWStats.

Do we need to fill a bug or the package is just missing in the repo?

The required GeoIP package is currently in smeupdates-testing. Proceed with great care for nothing has been verified.

Geoip comes from epel: enablerepo=epel

Test and report if all is good

perl-Geo-IP-1.38-6.el6 is pushed to sme9contribs, wait the sync of repository

Same problem 

I found: perl-Geo-IP-1.38-6.el6 RPM for x86_64
at: http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/epel/6/x86_64/perl-Geo-IP-1.38-6.el6.x86_64.html

I installed with:
yum install ftp://fr2.rpmfind.net/linux/epel/6/x86_64/perl-Geo-IP-1.38-6.el6.x86_64.rpm

Then:
yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-awstats

and finally:
signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot

And everything is working fine.

well probably that the 'updaterepo' script is doing some noise, I will look after, I'm at the office right now

I understand if enablerepo=smeupdates-testing is use, the package will be install without problem.

But stephdl suppose to move the missing package to smecontribs repo. Seem to have problem with updaterepo script as per his comment.

I want to test the installation package with smecontribs repo as per wiki page.

Just to know if wiki page is OK and use it on my server.
