Sogo - vacation (ouf of office / Auto Reply)
« on: December 23, 2015, 03:11:34 PM »
Hi,

Working fine with Sogo on SME Server 9.1, my mail user is working with Sogo interface for the webmail, during the vacation, users are setting their vacaton messages.

(on the first config of the server, I have enabled "dovecot AdminIsMaster enabled")

What I noticed:
  • internal user are receiving the auto message
  • microsoft office 365 users are receiving the auto message
  • other Mails server are receiving the auto message (ubuntu, iredmail..)
  • GMail is not receiving the auto message and some other mail server: I get always a return message in my "admin" email for error : Remote host said: 555 5.5.2 Syntax error (example mail server) or "Connected to 74.XX.XX.XX but sender was rejected.
Remote host said: 555 5.5.2" for gmail

After looking in the header of the message (please find the attachment), I have seen that it is missing the "return path" in the header message of the Auto Reply, could be this problem for gmail?
(I am receiving the errors as "failure notice" in my admn@ mailbox)

Many thanks

Hi, for information, I did not success to resolve this problem. I create a bug on "Sogo Bugs" : http://sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=3435

The return path is always "empty" in the Header email and not accepted by Gmail and other mail servers.

thanks

I only update QMAIL with the "smeupdates-testing" to qmail-1.03-18.el6.sme.x86_64  (before 0.3-17).

can Qmail be updated now from production source/updates?

I'd say yes :-)

if you update your server from smeupdates-testing you'll end in having a SME9.2 RC2 install, which is stable.. I'm using 9.2 since the early beta stage in production and had no issues

with Sogo?
I stop to using sogo activesync on all the devices because Sogo/Activesync was a little bit slow with a lot of users. I will follow the documentation with the number/limit of connections per sogo.
