Several contribs needs your translations
« on: September 13, 2015, 12:33:00 AM »
Things are moving at Contribs.org, and we are waiting some translations for contribs because we added some new features (like in smeserver-wbl) or we imported new addons.
It is not something really hard ------> http://translate.contribs.org/

A big thank to some anonymous guys that I want to bring to the light, they have worked in the French translation, I pushed their changes tonight.

merci à tdevoye, phil101, gières, mab974

For those who are main (responsible) translators, you should take a look and accept/verify Propositions of others.

Thank in advance guys.

I need some small clarification...

  • can I use accented characters (à, é, ù ...)?
  • I can use quotes (') but not the double quotes ("), is not it?
  • each translation starts a an "en-us" which I translate into "it-it", is right or do I just leave the "it"?
  • things means "doubtful" in translation, which must be verified because the translation may not be correct? and who should check?
  • there is a self-testing system to avoid that any "bad formatting" of the translation are implemented and use "disturb" the normal operation of the production system?

Thanks for any help.

    grep -srni "'" /etc/e-smith/locale/

a translator can propose translations, but they need to be accepted by someone who is in charge of the italian language. I looked and It seems to me that you can accept translation of others. do I'm wrong ?

see http://translate.contribs.org/fr/contribs9/cronmanager.po/translate/?unit=232487 you have at the right some informations, but I agree that it is not either perfect or easy to understand and use. Sometime we have strings badly translated with wrong html code and the mock buildsys fails its build for that.As I'm administrator, I can manually change that in all languages.
