Sme Server 9 RC1 32 bit - Proxmox VE virtualized server
When connecting via Putty I get the following behaviour:
- if I set "translation" option "ISO-8859-1:1998 (Latin-1, West Europe)" Midnight Commander does not show correct linedraw characters while "console" command works fine;
- if I set "translation" option "UTF8" Midnight Commander show correct linedraw characters while "console" does not;
All fine when working with Proxmox console.
Now in SME 8.1 the correct setting is "ISO-8859-1:1998 (Latin-1, West Europe)" and this allows fine linedraw viewing in both Mc and console.
Another thing is that Midnight Commander is always in english, doesn't matter the language selected for SME install; maybe MC 4.7.0.2 packaged in Centos 6 is not localized (at least in italian) ?
If necessary I'll file a BUG.
