I have for many days looked in Horde and SME server for someone that had a similar problem to that which I have experienced it is not unique to smeserver8 as the same problem existed in smeserver7, there wher two reasons to upgrade one was most obviously to fix the problem I had and two I could no longer update and upgrade any services.
Contry to what you may believe alll my mail accounts work even webmail that is all except one. A couple of weeks ago I noticed on smeserver 7 that I could not gain access to my own webmail account all other webmail mailboxes where unaffected only mine. I put this down to the fact that the mailbox might be full but could not login to the webmail to delete any. Therefore I thought I would use my thunderbird email client to remove emails by not leaving them on the server, my account was accessed and downloaded and as far as I know the mail folder is empty except the category folders I created within my webmail session to manage my emails. I never expected the folders and there contents to be transferred to Thunderbird so was not surprised when only the emails in the inbox filled my Thunderbird client inbox.
I tried again I can bring up the webmail login page but when I alone login with the correct username and password no report of failure is listed it just sits there and will not login but appears to attempt to.
After this I upgraded and got the same problem, so the upgrade didn't fix it. I then perhaps made matters worse by deleting the category folders on the server itself from here /home/e-smith/files/users/derek/Maildir however the situation has not resolved itself and still I cannot access this one mailbox using webmail.
I can find no where else to post this issue I doubt this is a bug and you should consider me a noob although I have been using Smeserver for many years I still struggle.
Apologise if post is inappropriate it seems the right place but will delete if not appropriate if I can.
I have looked through the useful commands and tried some of them but nothing has worked including rebooting
Any help appreciated
