shadowCopy = rsync @ cron ?? (upd)
« on: March 05, 2013, 11:52:30 AM »
I was looking at ShadowCopy contrib to implement at my server.
But I discovered it uses a cron job to take a rsync of FS at intervals.

I thought ShadowCopy was a modification at RM (remove) to save a copy on a special folder.

[EDIT]Anyways, if it isn't a modification to rm: will it use twice disk space (for each ibay/user enabled) on first snapshot ?

Thanks

From the wiki at http://wiki.contribs.org/ShadowCopy#Snapshots
You will need enough free disk space [and backup capacity] to take a copy of the entire /home/e-smith/files directory plus any changes that take place.
