Does anybody have any suggestions on how to sinc mobile device to SME server, and be able to access and edit the information on SME; the same way one can do it on Google.

I want to stop using Google and be in control of my own information and not give it to the Big Brother.

what kind of mobile device....for android you have

sme8+owncloud
on cell install carddav/caldav (you need to buy it few euros on google play)
on thunderbind you need to use sogo-connector as a  carddav pluggin (for calendar there is no need of specific stuff)

I am using ownCloud for wireless contact and calendar sync with my iPhone.
