DMZ address but ports are still closed ?
« on: January 22, 2013, 10:38:21 PM »
Re spawned from this topic:

http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,47499.msg234648.html#msg234648

Anyhow the site it:
www.icl.zapto.org and some things seem to have stopped working
www.icl.zapto.org/webmail and more
www.icl.zapto.org/1644/003.jpg  (should see a picture of a printer
www.icl.zapto.org/1644 list of images

Seems strange if you can get to www.icl.zapto.org but not /webmail and not /1644 which is a subfolder inside of the proper ibay.

Everything was working fine or better when i had the yahoo domains but now that I switched to NOIP it seems that something is wrong
There is limited domain records to setup for the free account and so I'm not sure if that is the problem
Or if the ports that should be opened are actually open as they should be for my DMZ settings

Any tips on what I should be looking at ?

P.S
Think I answered my own question
NOIP I think needs wildcards in the domain records which is included in the NOIP plus subscription but not the free service
So it appears things are ok for http://icl.zapto.org but not for http://www.icl.zapto.org
At least I think so at this point
Can someone please check this on the WAN I don't have access except for LAN

Thanks all

Can hit icl.zapto.org but www.icl.zapto.org is not found

No idea what you are doing on that machine but you seem to have every port under the sun open.

nmap -T4 -A -v -PE -PS22,25,80 -PA21,23,80,3389 icl.zapto.org

Looks like a road accident :-)

Suggest you get it offline PDQ and find out what is happening !

WOW really
It's a default SME install and the external port is in the DMZ so it would be open but only what SME has open by default

I'm not sure why so many thing would be open I didn't do anything to it.
It's basic webserver, webmail, ftp, samba files, network shares etc.
Does there appear to be more things open then what SME does on it's own ?

But why would so many ports be opened on the standard install. except for one port forward port 25565 for minecraft box but thats not running on the sme it's on a desktop
