Hi,
We recently had an issue with our ISP (BT in the UK) changing their email over to Office 365 (Uuugghhhhhhhh), and their SMTP sending requirements.
We have been using the BT smarthost as despite our having a supposed 'Business account' with a static IP address, it is actually classed as 'residential' and gets blocked by a lot of spam lists.
Each user is now meant to authorise each mail they send with their own individual account details. (I believe this is different to POP before SMTP)
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of this, and if there are any methods to get round the situation e.g is there a way you can set the SMTP server to lookup the senders email and use their individual settings to authorise the sending of an email, rather than the 'generic' one ?
B. Rgds
