smeserver-diskusage
« on: November 25, 2012, 07:10:08 AM »
First I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this worthwhile program. I have a fully at least yesterday updated smeserver v8.  running on a Dell PowerEdge 1300 and would like to install a disk usage addon. I have tried to yum it into place with the following request yum install --enablerepo=smecontribs smeserver-diskusage/etc/e-smith/events/actions/navigation-conf   I then receive as an answer
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, protect-packages, smeserver
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * base: centos.mirrors.chicagovps.net
 * smeaddons: mirror.canada.pialasse.com
 * smecontribs: mirror.canada.pialasse.com
 * smeextras: Mirror.canada.pialasse.com
 * updates: centos.corenetworks.net
Excluding Packages from CentOS - os
finished
Setting up Install Process
No package smeserver-diskusage/etc/e-smith/events/actions/navigation-conf available
Nothing to do

Did I do something wrong, I have tried this entry with a space preceding the forward slash at etc and without that space  still not available  can someone help with this problem   Thanks  Doug Bishop

Did I do something wrong,...

Yes. The name of the contrib is smeserver-diskusage, not smeserver-diskusage/etc/e-smith/events/actions/navigation-conf.

Thanks for the quick reply Charlie, I just tried to yum install......smeserver-diskusage and received back   No package smeserver-diskusage available.
The reason i extended the name to include /etc/.... was hat was how I read in the how to. I am just a nubie with linux command syntax  thanks again

Now you are using sme8 you should familiarize yourself more with usage & issues associated with the new version sme server, starting here

Re the repos for contribs fro sme8 see here

You need to setup a sme7contribs repo as per wiki advice
