A RAID status Question??
« on: May 20, 2012, 12:06:59 AM »
SME 7.5 with updates installed. -2.6GHZ,1GB RAM, 2*80GB HARD Disk in RAID 1. Server-gateway MODE.

HI I've come across some Disk info which i need clarification on. I have been in the process of repairing my DAR local USB backup and came across some output and am unsure whether I have a RAID issue that needs resolving.  :-?

The server runs fine as a web/file/email server. Able to shut-down and reboot.

Here is the output and the issue regards the intial output lines on running a fdisk -l | more command and the listed output specifically.

Disk /dev/md1 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/md2 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/dm-0 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/dm-1 doesn't contain a valid partition table

here is the full output of fdisk -l | more and cat /proc/mdstat

Your server is OK.
Please search forums on

Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary

for more explanation & reasons as it has been answered before.
You can manually tweak the partition info IIRC.
Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.
