From the Release Notes:

Major changes in beta 7
* Require authentication for all emails, including local.

Does this mean the current option in E-mail reception settings for SMTP Authentication of "Allow both SMTP and SSMTP" is removed and defaults to "Allow SSMTP (secure)"?

If so, will this require any user mail client account setting changes such as in Thunderbird? 

Right now we use SSL IMAP and the client settings for Outgoing Server (SMTP) of SSL/TLS 465 with "Authentication method: Normal password". 

Might that need to be changed to "Encrypted password"?

Trying to determine beforehand if updating to Beta 7 will cause any mail setting surprises for users.
