Problem in ezmlm setup
« on: May 07, 2010, 11:04:44 PM »
I have for a long time been running several mailing lists, using ezmlm, using ezmlm-idx-std-5.1.2-1.el4.sme, smeserver-ezmlm-web-1.1.2-11.el4.sme, and ezmlm-web-2.3-2.el4.sme.

Mails, sent out with from my various lists, used to have a footer explaining how to unsubscribe from the list. But for some reason, for several (or maybe all?) of my lists, this feature has disappeared, and I have not been able to figure out how to make it work again.

For the list in question, the footer message is placed (correctly I guess) placed in the file:
/home/e-smith/files/ezmlm/lists/newsletter/text/trailer

... but it doesn't work.

Any help appreciated :-)

I think you should ask to ezmlm support and then report here..
IMHO it's a ezmlm issue, nothing related to SME

Hi Holk

ezmlm contribs is very out of date. I will renew the rpm to the last ezmlm version. I was have the same issue with trailer, and I suspect this is a bug in ezmlm. In some circunstances the trailer show, but I can't figured how to.

Thanks for the advice.

I downloaded a much newer version of ezmlm from http://www.ezmlm.org/archive/7.0.2/ezmlm-idx-7.0.2.tar.gz, followed the instructions, and it seems to work now.
