No IVR with 2.4.1-7
« on: February 08, 2010, 10:27:39 AM »
Hi
Since updating from 2.4.1-3 the IVR system fails with
Code: [Select]
file.c:664 ast_openstream_full: File usergreeting3001 does not exist in any format

and then goes to a standard steam of
Code: [Select]
Playing 'silence/5' (escape_digits=0123) (sample_offset 0)
    -- AGI Script Executing Application: (Queue) Options: (office|tThH||||selintra)
    -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on DAHDI/1-1
    -- Stopped music on hold on DAHDI/1-1
    -- <DAHDI/1-1> Playing 'queue-youarenext' (language 'en')
    -- Told DAHDI/1-1 in office their queue position (which was 1)
    -- <DAHDI/1-1> Playing 'queue-thankyou' (language 'en')
    -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on DAHDI/1-1
but the settings are to run the greeting which is still in place (before and after rerecording). Also MOH is not turned on for this Trunk. 2.4.1-3 has the clash with Dahdi_genconf file. Should we back track to that version or is the path to the MOH greeting file all that is wrong?

TIA
Regards

Gordon............

Does usergreeting3001 exist?  Asterisk seems to think not.  It should be in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds.

Your call has been sent to a queue (called office).  It looks quite normal;  the call is in the queue and is receiving MOH.  Perhaps that isn't what you wanted to happen with your call route,  but that's all I can tell from the logs you've sent me.

Kind REgards

Thanks Jeff

It was one of the 1st things I checked and just for good measure rerecorded the same message.
Code: [Select]
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root     13794 Aug  6  2009 usergreeting3001.gsm
-rw-r--r--   1 root     admin    10065 Aug  6  2009 usergreeting3002.gsm
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root     13068 Jan 26  2009 usergreeting3010.gsm

This is from the message log file, so it is just not my messages that are not running.
But its date did not change. I have now deleted the message and the new recording did not save. As it is a while since I did the recording I am sure after saying what you want and pressing # the system responds with a menu choice for saving etc with directions. All I get now is the numbers 1 2 3 with no instructions. Is this where we are having the fault?

You can see from the logs that you are missing quite a few sound files...

Quote
[Feb  9 06:32:11] WARNING[13507] file.c: File save-announce-press does not exist in any format
[Feb  9 06:32:39] WARNING[14239] file.c: File pm-announcement-number does not exist in any format

...and so on.  Now this may be because they really are missing or because of the release of Asterisk you are running.  Digium like to keep us all on our toes by continually (it seems) tinkering with file structures within Asterisk.

I seem to rememeber that they changed the structure of the sound directory, in particular, the language sub-directories in one of the later releases and you may have fallen foul of that.   You need to comment out the languageprefix flag in asterisk.conf...

Code: [Select]
[options]
;languageprefix = yes ; Use the new sound prefix path syntax

Alternatively you may just not have installed the additional sounds pack.  If you are a UK english speaker then you can download ours from here

http://sarkpbx.com/sail/languagepack/

Otherwise you can get the tarball with Alison's voice from Digium.

Kind Regards

Thanks Jeff

Version asterisk14-1.4.28-88.el4 which only came in a couple of days ago.

And it does look like the sound files are now at /usr/share/asterisk. Commenting out the languageprefix has not made any difference
Code: [Select]

[Feb  9 07:37:49] WARNING[7037] app_playback.c: ast_streamfile failed on SIP/5001-00000000 for press-pound-save-changes

Is it best just to go back a version?

check out /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf in the directories section.  You may find a reference to the sounds directory which you can set back to what it was.  Alternatively you may be able to simply create a symlink in the new directory.

Seems a shame to have to re-install everything.

Best

The Directories seem fine so it must be getting the path from somewhere else
Code: [Select]
[directories]
astetcdir => /etc/asterisk
astmoddir => /usr/lib/asterisk/modules
astvarlibdir => /var/lib/asterisk
astdatadir => /usr/share/asterisk
astagidir => /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin
astspooldir => /var/spool/asterisk
astrundir => /var/run/asterisk
astlogdir => /var/log/asterisk
I was on the verge of testing a Ver8 system so might just bite the bullet and give it a go.
It seems we have had a few directory changes from out of the blue Asterisk agi-bin, now sounds and zarafa's webaccess files. I am beginning to think my system is getting a little shabby around the edges.

Thanks
