a new idea for the forums
« on: October 05, 2009, 08:54:50 PM »
While washing dishes today i came up with an interesting idea , how about a sub forum called :

"success stories" or some thing like that - a sub forum where users share their success stories with sme server

Deployment , how money was saved using sme or moving from windows sbs , how easy the install and setup is ,

How not "help run it's linux" sme is to use and deploy , it's great features and vary modest system requirements

For deployment.

A sub forum like that can be great in recruiting new users to sme server distro .

This can also show new users how stable and widely used sme server is ( more the 20,000 servers running when

Looking in smolt and no new user even knows that).

Anyway it's just a thought .....

We already have something like http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:About#Product_Reviews , perhaps we can make something like that for user reviews as well... jst thinking out loud.

I was thinking more in the lines of user reviews that a sys admin coming from the windows world would like to

read.

And i think i myself as a fan and user of sme would also like as other members to read about things like that.

We already have something like http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:About#Product_Reviews

I think this should be some where more prominent and maybe in the home page of contribs.org
