a question to smeserver-zarafa: what do i have to configure?
« on: September 13, 2009, 05:29:01 PM »
Hi,
when i tried zarafa on my earlier debian-server, i had to configure some config-files e.g. fetchmail (to fetch the mails from my pop3-email-accounts).

What and how do i have to configure it on the sme-server?
Does the sme-zarafa takes the options from the smeserver (e.g. E-Mail) or do ihave to edit the fetchmail- and zarafa-config-files?

All you'll have to do is in the wiki: http://wiki.contribs.org/Zarafa
Please do read all of it carefully!

Hi jester,
for sure i read the this and installed zarafa this way on an untouched and new installed smeserver 7.1,
BUT i did not yet configured the E-Mail-Stuff for my users.

So one more time:
I can add users in zarafa. Where do i have to configure their (e.g.) POP3E-Mail-Accounts?
I can't find anything about this in the wiki.

Regards,
jcc

jcc:

first of all you should upgrade your SME to 7.4 asap (if it's really a 7.1)

then, as suggested, you have to read the documentation.. afair, zarafa can be globally enabled (so every user you create will be a zarafa user) or per user.

Ooops, for sure it is the 7.4...
sorry

Ok Stefano, you are right.

I did it that way:

db accounts setprop jcc zarafa enabled

/etc/e-smith/events/actions/qmail-update-user

and then
/etc/e-smith/events/actions/zarafa-create-user

I filled in my name and so on, but when i applied:
Code: [Select]
executing...
Unable to open Admin session.
The server is not running, or not accessable through file:///var/run/zarafa.
Unable to open Admin session.
The server is not running, or not accessable through file:///var/run/zarafa.

What is wrong?

zarafa-log
Code: [Select]
So 13 Sep 2009 19:54:41 CEST: Connection to database 'zarafa' succeeded
So 13 Sep 2009 19:54:41 CEST: Using commercial license serial ''
So 13 Sep 2009 19:54:41 CEST: 0941CCA0: SQL Failed: Can't find file: 'versions' (errno: 2), Query: "SELECT major, minor, revision, databaserevision FROM versions ORDER BY major DESC, minor DESC, revision DESC, databaserevision DESC LIMIT 1"
So 13 Sep 2009 19:54:41 CEST: Can't update the database:
So 13 Sep 2009 19:54:41 CEST: Server shutdown complete.

Could it be a problem with mysql? How can i check mysql on the smeserver?
