Hi,
So i explain sme7.4 last updateis installed ( sme noraid) on hardware raid in raid5  and work like a charmed.

I wan't to put an adaptec 1420AS sata2 raid card but don't know if sme as the driver ( aar81xx ).

Actually the sata raid is configured with the card utility and report no problem; but...  Sme only detect all discs connected to the card  not the arrray...

Did someone has an idea ?

I wan't to put an adaptec 1420AS sata2 raid card...

Avoid that if you can. Search here, or google, for 'fakeraid'. e.g.
