voicemail and emails on -708
« on: January 27, 2009, 07:51:08 PM »
hello there,
hadn't been around for a while.
I just upgraded to -708 version with the proper commands, and had to change the SMEserver domain.
And from then, I don't receive any email notification anymore (voicemail or admin) from sail, "normal" email system still working fine.
Actually, messages aren't stored in voicemail also.

Any idea from where I could start my search ?

Thanks a lot,
Edd

It is almost certainly because you are using a non-registered domain name.  These days, almost all mail servers will do a dns lookup on incoming mail.  If the domain doesn't exist the mail will be rejected.

If messages aren't stored in vocemail it may be that they are too short (less than 8 seconds) or it may be that SAIL has not constructed the voicemail box correctly. In the last case you can "force" SAIL to reconstruct the VMbox by choosing edit for the extension and then simply pressing commit.

Usually this.
