Call Back Issues
« on: January 02, 2009, 09:10:40 AM »
Hi

I have been trying to get call backs to work but have been unable to do so and now that I have deleted my call back entries I am unable to use the incoming line to make calls as it comes up as busy.

The log entries when I make the calls are:

[Jan  2 20:48:27] NOTICE[4561] chan_sip.c: Failed to authenticate user "02102327626" <sip:02102327626@202.180.76.161>;tag=as28c7c99b
[Jan  2 20:54:37] NOTICE[4561] chan_sip.c: Failed to authenticate user "642102327626" <sip:02102327626@202.180.76.161>;tag=as3bfa641a

I have set up a trunk for the call backs using a voip inbound number supplied by 2talk.co.nz and was able to make calls to my internal extensions via this line prior to trying to set up the call back.

Any asistance would be appreciated either to get rid of the call back so the line is usable again or to actually get callbacks working properly.

Thanks

Tony

Hi

Just an update as I seem to have this sorted.

The issues were actually being created at the service providers end. If I set the connection between my server and the service provider using the standard sip connection the connection will not work, I then tried using the sip peering connection which did not work. I then mixed it up using the connection setting for the standard sip connection but told it it was a sip peered connection and everything is now working as it should (so to speak) I will follow these issues up with 2talk later.

I am now able to call my inbound number and get the call back.

Thanks a lot for a great product.

Tony

Hi Tony,

Glad you got it sorted, however your post was somewhat serendipitous because we looked at the code and did actually find a bug in the 688 version.

btw to turn callback off you need to change the CALLBACK option to some other value in your inbound route for the DiD.

Kind Regards

S
