Is missing Roundcube repository considered a bug ?
« on: December 25, 2008, 07:12:43 PM »
Hi

I was attempting to install RoundCube, following the contribs instructions.
There does not appear to be a repository at this location, so should I report a bug or is there another location in which to use for installation

Please advise

smeserver-roundcube is available in the smecontribs repo and should install just fine by issuing the command given on the wiki page.
So if you definitely cannot get it installed from there the problem is most likely to be searched at a different place. Maybe your yum config files are messed up?

Here what is in the terminal and pasted, or typed exactly as the wiki instructs

[root@xxmyserver ~]# yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-roundcube

First, try a
Code: [Select]
yum clean allbefore installing the smeserver-roundcube contrib.

Check if you have the smecontribs repository defined. What's the output of
Code: [Select]
db yum_repositories show smecontribs
You could also try to restore all default yum repositories (You are running SME 7.3 or 7.4, aren't you?): http://wiki.contribs.org/Adding_Software#Restoring_Default_Yum_Repositories
and then try to install the roundcube contrib again.

I'm running 7.2
when entering:
Quote
db yum_repositories show smecontribs
I get no output it just takes me to the terminal prompt

It's ok, if the command is correct for contribs roundcube, and the repository is correct, then this is mostly like a problem with my 7.2 server and repos on the server.I will most likely get it fixed when I install 7.3 and restore from backup on the new server if my 7.2 and repo settings are the problem.

Or just simply run the commands listed here to reset your repositories back to default as described in step 2 here: http://wiki.contribs.org/Updating_to_SME_7.2#Yum_Update
