sibling truck problem
« on: November 07, 2008, 12:23:23 AM »
for some reason my sibling trunk keeps failing -- at times is does work fine so i think the routing is ok
something else  is mis-configured

iax2 show peers     is good

alberleagw~imtr  xx.159.222.230  (S)  255.255.255.255  4569 (T)      OK (84 ms)
1 iax2 peers [1 online, 0 offline, 0 unmonitored]

imtruckrcservic  xxx.125.229.82  (S)  255.255.255.255  4569 (T)      OK (85 ms)
1 iax2 peers [1 online, 0 offline, 0 unmonitored]

sail shows this  error under state heading (stop sign with a X in the middle)
Peer alberleagw not found.

it is the same for the other end
Peer imtruckrcservicegw not found.

i changed the context to internal at both ends and i call back on forth  fine
initially it was set to mainmenu on both of them
i assume that sail should show the connected icon.
the system names used for the config were the linux hostnames

any ideas would be welcome
thank you
rob

If context was set to "mainmenu" on your siblings then you had created them as unprivileged, which is not the normal way to do cross PBX, extension to extension calling.  Unprivileged links serve a different function (which you can read about in the docs pages).

Delete them and redefine as privileged and you should be OK

Kind Regards
