dcraw
« on: December 06, 2007, 08:46:11 AM »
I am building a new server to store my photography. I would like to try out photo organizer at http://po.shaftnet.org but I want dcraw installed. I found an rpm, but I cannot find the dependancies.
Quote
error: Failed dependencies:
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4) is needed by dcraw-0.0.20060521-1.1.i386
        liblcms.so.1 is needed by dcraw-0.0.20060521-1.1.i386
        rtld(GNU_HASH) is needed by dcraw-0.0.20060521-1.1.i386

Any suggestions?

you might have to wait for sme 8 to be released, not only do you need GLIBC 2.4 you would also need PHP 5, which I am sure sme 7 does not support at the moment.

have you looked at http://gallery.menalto.com/

Damn, I was afraid of that.
I do use gallery2 for my website, but it is not great for organizing original photos. and I would still need to install dcraw to view my raw files...

I found this http://sme.firewall-services.com/spip.php?article46 to install php5, but I still have no dcraw.
I found someone else here http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=37014.msg165419#msg165419 who says he installed dcraw.
I did install it on another server a few years ago, but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it...

I've also tried to install Photo Organizer from po.shaftnet.org , but without luck.
I don't require dcraw (at least not for the moment), so that's not my issue.

PHP5 is required, so I installed the PHP5-CGI. This worked fine.
The site is up and running, with one major exception: Can't add pictures.
Get a Syntax Error message from the script.
Everything else works. I'm able to add entries for cameras etc.

Then I tried to add the required database entries manually, copy/paste from the script, and that worked fine.
I even see my entry in the photo overview.

Has anybody seen something like this before?
