redirecting virtual domain to opt/joomla
« on: June 23, 2008, 10:06:21 PM »
Can anyone help me to redirect one of my virtual domains to joomla (opt/joomla)?

I've tried to use http://wiki.contribs.org/Web_Application_Redirect_Tutorial , but it disables the possibility to use the server-manager.
I've allso the directions Catus gave me in the topic http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=41074.0, but that doesn't do what it ought to do.

When I do 'config show joomla' it gives me:
Code: [Select]
    joomla=service
    DbName=joomla
    DbPassword=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    DbUser=joomlauser
    Name=Joomla
    PublicAccess=global
    domain=www.myvirtualdomain.nl
    status=enabled
So I think I must have done something right  :lol:

The Howto as written does work. What do you mean by disables server-manager.
It sounds like you have done something wrong or inappropriate.
Did you follow all the instructions carefully and ensure that both custom templates are present
eg
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf/92joomla
and
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf/80OptDomainJoomla
